I am brown hair from my mother and green eyes from my father.
I am a baby face that I can never seem to grow out of
Always wanting to grow up, but never reaching that destination.
I am dreadful mistakes with a lot of regret
But I am also success with lessons learned.
I am a seeker of truth trying to find my way
Living with old views in a new world.
I am a follower of God
Believing not in only what is seen.
I am faith
Living in a world filled with pressures and falling to some.
I am never giving up
Striving for the best in hopes of prosperity.
I am still waters running deep.
I am the forever optimist.
I am destined for light.
I understand what you mean about having a "baby face"! I feel the same way, wondering if I'm ever going to look any different."Living with old views in a new world". I get where you're coming from with this, because I feel the same way. Some of what I believe a lot of people don't understand because that;s not how people are raised anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love how you sorted through things in your life and made it into a simplistic poem. I think it's neat how you made us see through your perspective, it really puts people into your shoes. It makes me sad to see the line "I am dreadful mistakes with a lot of regret" it makes me want to know and be there for you :) I like the last line a lot because it makes me wonder.

This describes who I am too and I understand the feeling of being stressed and pressured with so much going on, but I still strive to be the best.
